About

IMG_1499.JPG

My name is Rajani and I am settled in Chennai, India for the past 11 years. I am from Trivandrum, Kerala.

I love food, trying out different recipes, taking pictures of food and writing simple things. So I decided to put it all together and start a food blog.

My husband Harish is a willing guinea pig to all my cooking trials. My 4 1/2 6 1/2-year-old son, Shreyas (aka kiddo), is a tougher nut to crack. He doesn’t warm up to experimental food very fast. So a small pot of plain rice and a cup of yogurt will always be there in the kitchen, as a back up.

We are vegetarians and the food here will be vegetarian too, mostly (but not just limited to) South Indian. I try my level best to cut short the tedious parts of cooking (well, I admit it – I AM lazy), so some of the recipes have an easier (mostly Microwave) version too.

You can contact me @ mykitchentrials[at]gmail[dot]com

Hope you will enjoy reading it!

  11. I love your blog – the food looks so good! You did a good job on the Daring Bakers challenge, too! Like me, maybe you are more accustomed to cooking than baking :) We will learn!
