Blogging Marathon #138 Week 4, Day 3
Theme : Street Food Special
Mango lassi is one of the most popular Indian foods and my son is a big fan of it. He buys this every single time he sees it, so I have started making it at home every now and then. I find it too thick and too filling for my taste, but my son loves it.
We used to prepare some or the other version of lassi a lot more back in India since it’s a great coolant during summers. For my husband it’s always salted lassi and for me plain sweet one. Somehow over the years, I just stopped making it. Thanks to the theme this week, I will be making more of these before the weather turns cooler.
Mango lassi can be made with fresh mangoes or with canned puree as I have done here. If you are using canned puree, you can make it anytime of the year and don’t have to worry about the quality of mangoes or even the availability of it.
