Blogging Marathon #124 Week 3, Day 2
Theme : Kid’s Delight – Monsoon Delights
This is another post from my drafts folder. It was a rainy day and we wanted some different food than usual. We zeroed in on a chaat dinner. I wasn’t planning to take a picture of the meal, so just took a quick click before we all dug in.
Ragda patties is real easy to make. If you have readymade dabeli masala, that’s another easy to prepare dish. All you have to do is cook the masala and add in cooked and mashed potatoes. Along with the chutneys, it makes a really delicious and filling meal.
Dabeli needs a few more items like pomegranate seeds and bhel. But this was not a planned meal, so I decided to make do with what I had. I am not updating the recipe in this post, I will be doing it sometime later.

The platter has:
- Pav/ Buns
- Kala namak/ Black salt
- chopped onions
- Sweet Tamarind chutney
- Freshly cut coriander leaves
- Roasted peanuts
- Spicy chutney
- Aloo tikki
- Ragda
- Green chutney
- Dabeli filling
- Masala chaas / spiced buttermilk

We are great fans of chaat too and in fact my husband was asking just a while ago to prepare dabeli. The chaat platter looks so inviting.

These pictures are making me drool. My family is fond of chaat for any meal of the day and I am scared to show these pictures to them.
